Meet Wade.

We are so thrilled when our customers reach out to us. We love hearing about your love for ful and the improvements you would like to see us make in the future. Last week, Wade reached out to us with a passionate description of his love for his Brick House sling and ful.

We were thrilled when Wade agreed to do an interview with us, check it out!

1. What bag do you carry?
I currently carry an orange Ful Brick House.

2. What’s your favorite feature?
There are so many features that click; with me, but I would say that my two favorites are:1) the perfect arrangement of compartments and 2) it looks awesome!

3. Why did you choose this particular ful product?
I needed something that I could put my laptop in along with travel documents and business papers, throw over my shoulder and hop on a plane without sacrficing performance for style.

4. What future designs or concepts would you like to see from ful?
I would love to see further development in the ‘business sling market’. They are so versatile, attractive and easy to use; additional styles marketed towards business travelers and professionals would seem a perfect fit.

5. Finish this sentence: My ful bag is awesome because __________________________.
My ful bag is awesome because of so many different reasons! First, I can easily carry all of my needed business tools (laptop, charger, notebookds etc) and documents all over the world when needed. The compartments are perfectly placed and just the right size for my work related necessities. My laptop slides in and out with ease and when I ’sling’ the bag over my shoulder it is extremely comfortable, no matter how far my trek may be. The fact that it looks amazing is just icing on the proverbial cake! I love this bag!

Today is the day! BSMF kicks off and we can’t wait.

As an added bonus, we have a special interview with Memphian Kerry Crawford. Kerry is the writer of I Love Memphis, the host of Mystery Train on WEVL and an all around cool chick. She’s been to BSMF several times and she offers excellent advice for the first-timer. She also shares some of her favorite memories of the festival, what performances she’s looking forward to and of course, the good food she plans on eating. Check it out!

Who are you most excited to see at BSMF 2012?:

Kerry: The list is long – Dr. Dog, Al Green, Jerry Lee Lewis, Childish Gambino and the Old 97s are at the top of it, though.

What advice would you give for those who will be attending for the first time?:

Kerry: Wear real shoes. I’ve seen many a lonely flip flop, abandoned in the mud. Also, pack a change of clothes and a towel in your car and keep your phone in a Ziploc baggie.

What’s the best thing to eat at BSMF?:

Kerry: This year, anything from one of the local food trucks. Look for Revival (their dirty fries are excellent), Fuel Truck, or the popsicles from Yolo.

What is your best memory from BSMF?:

Kerry: Probably seeing the Chilean band (I think their name translated to “Pigs of Rock” or something like that) in 2009. They were incredible and everyone was way into them, despite the language barrier.

Finish this sentence, Beale Street Music Festival is great because:

Kerry: You can see local bands alongside big deal national bands. Also, the people watching is incredible.

A History of Beale

Here at Ful, we are passionate Memphians. Our city is the Birthplace of Rock ‘n Roll and the Home of the Blues after all. Among many landmarks here in Memphis, is Beale Street. People from all over the south travel to enjoy good music, food and drinks on our beloved street.

Beale Street Music Festival comes from a rich past and culture full of good tunes, food and a love for Memphis, Tennessee.

In 1860, many traveling musicians began performing on Beale and from their music the Blues were born. In the 1920’s Beale roared with people passionate about music. The street was a constant party full of performers, musicians, nightclubs, theaters and much more. Through its’ ups and downs, Beale remained a constant staple in Memphis culture and on December 15, 1977 Beale Street was recognized by the United States Congress as the Home of The Blues. Even Congress, recognizes how awesome Memphis is!

In celebration of Beale and its history, Memphians gather ever year in Tom Lee Park for the Beale Street Music Festival.

May is arguably the best month in Memphis. Why, you ask? During the month of May, our city is booming with the Memphis in May festival. Every weekend in May hosts a different festival. This weekend kicks off the annual Beale Street Music Festival!

BSMF is a combination of music, food and fun. People from all around come to enjoy great bands. Not to mention, the concert stages are right by the mighty Mississippi river.

Here at ful, we are chomping at the bits to hear some of our favorite bands perform. We love BSMF, and this year the performance line-up is going to rock.
